This was great. The blurb didn’t really prepared me to what the book is about. I found that amazing because while I was reading I found so much interesting surprises. I loved most of it and even though it said is not a romance, it does have a little bit of romance on it.Tanner was morally ambiguous, just the kind of character I love. He claim to have no feelings for some people but he’s only fooling himself. Sure, he doesn’t feel the way everyone does and he doesn’t touch his heart to hurt others, even the ones he care about, but he isn’t really lacking emotions entirely. He was such an amazing character, he keep me guessing all the time what he would do because he is so complex that is so hard to predict his actions. I loved that about him.
Alex was a nice character, I loved him too, maybe as much as Tanner. What I loved about him was how much he second-guess his feelings or at least how much conflict it meant for him to feel what he was feeling for Tanner. I loved his defiance and how stubborn he could be at times.
One of the few issues I had with it was the fact that even though it had some sex scenes, there were times when it just fade to black and it was so frustrating. I wanted more. I guess it was on purpose, maybe the author didn’t wanted to overload us, readers, with too much in little time, and it’s ok, most of the times I’m ok with that but sometimes it just seem like it was needed. Also some mild BDSM scenes that could have been so great and they were just cut. I was mad.
The plot was really good, sometimes a little bit confusing as I start to understand how the world was functioning, but it was very interesting. Overall I had a great time reading It. There were times when I couldn’t read fast enough, it was so exciting. I’m definitely planning on read the next book on the series.

It wasn't quite what I was expecting or looking for I guess I may have been misled by the synopsis but that's my own interpretation overall it's pretty decent but not something I was fully engaged and unlike her other newly written novel
Broken in Silence is the first book in the Demons and Wolves series by Katze Snow. I loved this story and was glued to my seat as I read it. I fell in love with both Alex and Tanner and I can't wait to read the next book in the series to find out what happens next.
Once again this harsh worlds story fully captivated me. The contrastig terrible treatment of and by some characters with resolute loyalty and love is striking. The sex base, rough and raw.....yay! I feel like a junky now I've been left hanging. Damn it. Please please write quickly Katze.
Wow! An immaculately crafter world, characters, and plot. It seems there was no detail this author didn’t think of! You are dropped right into the story, in an amazing way that makes this book not able to be put down. You’re there with the characters for every moment and their pain/suffering becomes yours. The characters are supremely relatable and Alex the fire mage is 🔥. You definitely won’t regret this one and it’s easily able to be read in a day!
Wow, Broken in Silence is an intense, dark, sexy and incredibly interesting book. This world that Katze Snow has created will have you gluded to your e-reader and leave you anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. All the characters are well developed, the world is vivid and complex and the plot sucks you right in from the get go. If you like paranormal books that are smart, sexy and a bit on the darker side Broken in Silence is definitely for you.
Although I finished the book, I never really got into it. I felt confused a lot on what was going on, or the reasoning behind why some things were done. I'm not interested enough to keep an eye out for the next book in the series.
This book has it all wolf shifters, demons, vampires, fire mages, hybrids, good guys, very very bad evil guys, hot sex, a bone deep need for vengence, and a struggle to choose the right course of action. This book is not fluff. There is no sweet sappy romance. There is a hero, and someone to root for, and hopefully, in the end everything will finish without our hero dying.
Did I mention the incredible world building? Oh yeah. There's the twin cities of lightness and dark, and then there is the realm of the demons- below ground. The twin brothers are a relfection of the city they live in. Read Broken In Silence book one, and enter the world where the struggle to stay alive is the most important battle of their lives.
